The most awaiting event of the year is just around where people cheer them up with drinking green beer, seeing leprechauns, wearing green dress, and much more.

As on Saturday, March 17, everything will cover up with green hues to enjoy the day to its fullest. Don’t look frightened because this is what St. Patrick’s Day is all about.

The day is bringing some great things i.e. Irish dinners, traditional Irish music, live performances, and parties that are the signs of showing love to your friends from across the Atlantic.

  1. Kings Head Pub & Eatery St. Patrick’s Night:

What: Make plans with your friends to go out with them to have some drinks and enjoy live performances there by Jiggity James, Ryedell, and The Stiffs. Also taste their $10 Irish stew. Play games and have the best day of your life. The pub will be opened at noon but you can enjoy live performances from 4 pm to 2 am, late night.

  1. St. Patrick’s Day at the Calgary Farmers’ Market

What: Make your day out with your family at Calgary Market where you can enjoy live onstage performances by the Celtic Folktales, Ian Gott Irish Dance Academy, and the Bow Valley Fiddlers. They can really, really entertain you. The event start from 11 am to 2 pm. Also, if you can count the total gold coins in the pot, you will win $100 in market bucks.

  1. St. Patrick’s Day party with the Calgary Roughnecks:

What: If you are a game lover, then this one is surely for you. Enjoy the day with the lacrosse game between the Calgary Roughnecks and Rochester Knighthawks at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The game will start sharp at 7 pm, but if you can make up a little earlier like 5 or 5:30 pm then you can have a burger or a pizza slice and a beverage along with your ticket. You may be fortunate enough to get a selfie or a photograph of your favorite Roughneck player. The included entertainments are pub games and good times from 5:30 to 7 pm.

  1. St. Patrick’s Day Brewery Tours – Big Rock Brewery:

What: Start your day with knowing about how beverages especially beer are formed. Enjoy the tour, you never know may be they gift you some costless beer. *wink* Of course, they will offer you some tasks to do. Also, you can enjoy with pricing list for employee on different stores.

Time: 12:30 to 2:30 pm

  1. Irish Immersion:

What: The night before St. Patrick’s Day, go out alone, probably, to learn about Irish Culture, their beverages, how their whiskeys and brews are different from ours. How the country does the fermenting process and how they come up with such an amazing taste is something you are definitely going to do this St. Patrick’s Day.

Time: 7 to 9 pm

  1. Shamrocks & Shenanigans:

What: Why not join your fellow creatures in green costumes to celebrate the St. Patrick’s Day at the Heritage Park. The menu of the event is really mouthwatering with different brews from Big Rock Brewery. Dance all night until your feet hurt. Enjoy the live Celtic music by the band Cabot’s Crossing until you feel it is enough. Your ticket includes free food, one drink, and live music.

  1. St. Paddy’s at Our Daily Brett:

What: This event offers a five course meal all from Irish recipes and of course beer from Irish culture. The menu is prepared by the local brewery, Annex Ales. Grab your tickets as soon as possible as they are in limited stock.

Time: 7 to 10 pm

Where: Our Daily Brett – 2509 14th Street SW, Calgary

  1. St. Patrick’s Day at the Ship & Anchor:

What: The event will start sharp at 10 am to refresh your day with some live music performances by the Nova Scotiables, Fire Next Time, Shillelaghs, and many more. Also, delicious Irish food and green beer have all power to make your day.

Time: 10 am to 2 am

Where: Ship & Anchor Pub – 534 17th Ave SW, Calgary

  1. St. Paddy’s Day at the Irish Cultural Centre:

What: If you really want to make friendship with Irish people and willing to make good relationship with them, then you must visit it. Enjoy your day with Irish cultural interests as there will be day long Celtic music with Irish dancers, and also some Canadian foods.

Time: 4:30 pm to midnight

Where: The Pint – 1428 17th Avenue SW

  1. Calgary Trek for Tourette

What: This is a natural thing that when you start your day with some good deeds even as small as ant, you will feel good. This is a fund-raising walk for Canadian programs to cure many life threatening diseases. This year’s theme is Peter Pan. Make sure you show up with some unique costumes as you will be able to receive many exciting prizes.
