Mr. Trudeau is enjoying a week-long holiday in India which will also strengthen the bonds between the two countries. On his trip he is supplemented by wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau and three children -Ella-Grace, Xavier and Hadrien and a delegation of ministers.

Punjab government preparations were on peak and the Trudeaus will be paying a visit to the Golden Temple. Strict security has been put up around the Golden temple as Former deputy chief minister of Punjab and president of the Shiromani Akali Dal Sukhbir Singh Badal and his wife Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal will also meet the Canadian PM there.
Mr. Trudeau will attend a community kitchen known as langar, of Golden Temple. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has put up an amazing arrangement for his welcome with a specially crafted 24-carat gold-plated portrait of the shrine and a gold-plated 'Siri Sahib' (a small six-inch sword) which is to be presented as gift to him with a 'Siropa' (robe of honor) and a shawl.
